The BS 8522 Quality Standard

Adding Value To The Sourcing Process!

The BS 8522 quality standard was developed by the BAR Commercial Moving Group in collaboration with BSI, Facilities Managers, procurement and removal professionals. The standard provides the commercial moving industry with recognised, specific and measurable benchmarks which are also relevant to its particular activities, unlike more generic quality standards such as ISO 9001.

As a supply chain partner, CMG are addressing the key issues in today’s procurement process. In achieving the BS 8522 quality standard, Members are not only committed to delivering professional relocation services, they demonstrate the highest standards of care for the environment, conformance to diversity and equality principles, a commitment to socio economic issues, and a proficiency in e-tendering issues.

Adding value to the sourcing process of relocation services, the BS 8522 quality standard is already becoming a regular requirement for major commercial removals tenders in both the public and private sectors.

The QSS booklet  “The Commercial Moving Standard” outlines the components of the BS 8522.
